ASCII DOOM 2D is an experimental first-person shooter rendered entirely with ASCII characters.
Walls, enemies, and projectiles are drawn using real raycasting and perspective math, all displayed through monospaced text.

Two control styles are available: a classic keyboard scheme inspired by early shooters, and a modern FPS mode with mouse look.

This project is still in development. Features, balance, and visuals are evolving, with the goal of pushing text-based rendering as far as possible inside a visual game engine.

An ongoing experiment, a technical playground, and a tribute to old-school FPS design.
