I put to use my experience as an English as a Second Language Teacher in creating practical worksheets, quizzes, games and videos that can be put to good use by teachers, parents and learners.

Teachers and parents can use this game to help children practise (BrE) / practice (AmE) their vocabulary for the Cambridge English Exams (Pre-A1 Starters).

The game uses many words from the Starters word list (for exams from 2018) and is structured thematically so that children can learn the words easily.

Independent practice:

The game is ideal for children to practise (BrE) / practice (AmE) their vocabulary for the exams because they can work on their own and at their own pace.

After they choose an answer, they can see if they got it right or wrong and at the end of each category they can see their score.

Classroom practice:

The students can form a line in front of the computer and take turns clicking on the correct answers. To make it more interesting, the teacher should set a limit on how many mistakes they can make as a class. If they make more mistakes than the teacher had told them, the teacher wins. If they make less mistakes than the teacher had told them, the students win.

Other ways to use the game in the classroom:

The students take turns providing answers individually from their seats, or they can be divided into groups. The groups can take turns providing answers and the teacher can award points for each group on the board. Each team can have 1 team captain or the team captain can be a different student for each question. The team captains should consult the other group members' before providing an answer.

After all the categories have been completed, the students will get a rating on how well they did:

560/560 = 5 stars.
500-559 / 560 = 4 and a half stars.
450-499 / 560 = 4 stars.
400-449 / 560 = 3 stars.
350-399 / 560 = 2 stars.
300-349 / 560 = 1 star.
1-299 / 560 = half star.
