In Down Fall the mad king has cast all of those who have wronged him into the bottomless pit of despair and doom, not knowing that many of his greatest enemies can simply climb out. And so the mad king, as a final line of defense, has drafted the peasants a of society, those in need of glory, to be cast into the bottomless pit of despair and doom.

The King's only way to stop his downfall, was to have others fall down for him.
