About the Game

The Last Ascent is a short, psychological narrative horror about loss, isolation, and the crushing weight of guilt. You play as an elite climber returning to a deadly, storm-ridden mountain peak. One year ago, a catastrophic tragedy occurred here. Today, you must make your final, agonizing ascent through the blinding whiteout and freezing temperatures to face the ghosts of your past and leave them behind. But remember: the mountain remembers everything. And gravity is not your only enemy


Key Features:

Atmospheric Survival Mechanics: Struggle against the deadly mountain physics. The slippery ice will constantly pull you back, and every step requires effort.

Gameplay: Combine tense platforming with intense ice-climbing mechanics using your ice pick to conquer vertical walls.

Psychological Horror: Almost no jump scares, just pure psychological tension. Experience hallucinations, static glitches, and eerie visions as the altitude triggers your trauma.

Immersive Audio Design: A haunting dark ambient soundtrack and the realistic howl of a distant blizzard create 90% of the cold, isolated experience.

A Story with a Twist: A compact, highly-polished 5-minute emotional experience that shatters the fourth wall in its final moments.
