Created by @MarsChompsVenus and @Code_Forge for the Big Gdevelop Game Jam #7

At the center of this quietly dismal world rests the egg—an object of immaculate, almost infuriating refinement. Its surface is impossibly smooth, a flawless, silken sheen that seems less like a natural shell and more like something delicately engineered for admiration. Light drifts across it in soft, controlled gradients, never harsh, never imperfect, as though even illumination itself has been disciplined into elegance. It is neither ostentatious nor humble; it simply is—complete, composed, and entirely out of place.

You are a farmer, practical and worn by routine, standing in stark contrast to this delicate absurdity. Behind you, secured with excessive care, lies a brick of gold—heavy, real, and ultimately unfulfilling. Its presence should matter more than this egg. It does not.

A narrator lingers, unhelpful and persistent, offering dry observations that do little but underline the futility of it all. The world itself feels muted, resistant to satisfaction. Effort yields little, ownership means less, and even beauty—especially beauty—feels faintly hollow.

And yet, the egg remains.

Perfect. Silky. Pointless.

Something to pursue, despite everything.
