Brackeys Game Jam 2026.2

[ How a Turn Works ]
① Deal
The Sender selects a card from their hand and places it face-down in the center of the table.
② Declare
The Sender declares whether it is an Attack, Effect, or Heal card. You can tell the truth, or you can lie.
③ Target
Choose someone to receive the card. You cannot target yourself, nor anyone who has already touched this card this round (they will have a red X on their avatar).
④ Respond
The targeted player makes their choice, deciding the ultimate fate of the card.

[ When Targeted, You Have 3 Choices ]
Accept
Trust the Sender. The card is revealed, and its effect applies to you. If they told the truth, you might just take a hit; if it is a Heal card, you lucked out!
Challeng
Call their bluff. Reveal the card immediately to confront them. Guess right, and the Sender is punished. Guess wrong, and you suffer the consequences yourself.
Pass
Choose neither, and slide the card to another player. However—passing means endorsing. Once you take over, you become the new Sender and must declare a category again (you can keep the old one or change it). From this moment on, you are the one being challenged, not the original Sender. A card can be passed at most twice per round. The third receiver must either Accept or Challenge.

[ Challenge: Risks & Rewards ]
Challenge Success (It was a lie)
The Sender takes 1 Damage. If the real card is an Attack card, they take 2 Damage instead! Your Miss count is reset to zero.

Challenge Failed (It was the truth)
You take 1 Damage, AND the card's effect applies to you. It's a costly mistake. However, you become the Sender next round—a chance for revenge! Fail twice in a row, and your dealing right is revoked. (The lights next to your avatar show your consecutive misses.)

No Challenge Issued
The card is revealed, and its effect hits the final receiver. The truth is out, but it's too late.
