Game Description:

Year 2727, the Sun is dieing and the earth suffers from unstable climate changes: In the center of the Antarctica is a huge growing ice wall.

The project: Get a crew and a spaceship to fly to the sun to scan it for more data to find out the reason why the sun is dieing.

But it seems that there is a bigger conspiracy going on.
The (fictitious) World Government which is funding the project and the spaceship, has not actually the real intention that the earth's population will find out the real truth.
The truth could scatter human's worldview which could lead to a destabilisation of  society due to possible mass panic.

In the end of the story, you (the player) will find out what the truth is / what the "Outer Tellerrand" is.




Chapter 1 / Investigation:
Unstable weather conditions world wide. Find the ice wall.

Chapter 2 / Preperation:
Prepare the project: The sun has to be scanned with a crew and a spaceship to gather data. The (fictitious) World Government funded the project, can you trust them?

Chapter 3 / Navigation
Fly a spaceship in first person to the scan area of the sun, but it is sabotaged and its systems will be unstable. Accompany the turbulences that the crew has to experience.

Chapter 4 / Revelation
See the truth and the meaning of human existence.
Find out what the "Outer Tellerrand" is.

Spoiler: It is an art game about the philosophical meaning of human existence in our universe, devided in four chapters.  Inspired by the lat. term: "imago mundi" and the ger. term: "Weltanschauung" (eng. worldview). "Tellerrand", a ger. word is used in the ger. idiom: "Über den Tellerrand hinausblicken". Similar to "look beyond the box". In case of this game, the earth is inside of a petri dish of a higher beeing's laboratory. The  "Outer Tellerrand" means the place outside/beyond of this petri dish. "Rim Of The Plate" means the ice wall which sorrounds the earth.

Unstable Reactor is a game in which you have to maintain a stable state of the reactor for as long as possible by controlling the unstable reactor from the control panel and monitoring its indicators.

The game has a leaderboard so you can compete with other players, good luck!

I learned a lot doing it, though, and it was fun. I had to go to a work conference, so I lost about three days of development time. You are a patient in an insane asylum. Every saturday in the asylum, the nurses allow some of the patients to watch a wholesome movie of their choice. This time, it was "The Frog Prince". You thought, "If I kiss a frog, maybe it will turn into a person!" Why you would think this? I don't know, your the unstable one. anyways, you broke out of the asylum off in search of frogs to kiss. But, unbeknownst to you, licking frogs can cause hallucinations. You shouldn't lick frogs.

You start from the bottom, climbing to give you the satisfaction but you can fall out in any moment, but that not the worst part, you forget your path, the change you do, but you remember who you are and where you are, even if the world reset every time, you would be strong enough to get out of there.

THEME
Carefully navigate through the sport store on the Unstable platform to make sure it won't fall

STORY
Desperate to find a job, you found yourself taking care of the store while making sure the animatronic were keep in check

GAME DESIGN
The game started with the player on a platform where player must carefully navigate to the opposite area to check on the animatronic(and play some sports game)

Basketball: Press Z to start the game.  When the animatronic( Ford the Bear) appear, make sure the arrow in the collision with the green square to hit it.(- 4 Token)

Bowling: Press X to start the game. Press W key/Slide Joystick Up to throw the ball at the animatronic.(- 4 Token)

Token fishing: Mouse/Touch the green door(player must in collision with the green door) in order to start the game.(- 1 Token)

Motion Detector: By pressing the button(& player is in collision with the button), it will tell which side has movement of the animatronic.

Press S/Joystick Down to return to the the Unstable platform

You also able to customise your controls & more on settings(only for mobile & PC)

Leaderboard also available for score submission. Make your way to the top of the ranking.

Audio use for this game are from within the Gdevelop 5 engine(jfxr and CCO public domain)

I like to make and play games. My favorite video game genre is platformer.

Help Snowball the cat reach the goal flag in each of the six levels to win! Collect gems to get a high score, but watch out for platforms that will fall or break apart when you step on them! A submission to GDevelop's "Big Game Jam #5" event, with the theme "unstable."

Post-Jam update (June 6th): 
-Updated menu screen 
-Made it so that the meow sound will only be heard once if the player clicks on "Play Game." 
-Slightly updated the credits and "How to Play" sections in the menu. 
-Fixed the flag collision box in levels 1 and 2 so that the player cannot finish the level by bonking on the platform beneath the flags. 
-Decreased Snowball's speed and acceleration. 
-Updated the instruction text in level 1.
-Enabled WASD controls. Snowball will move left and right when you press the "a" and "d" keys, respectively.

Alas just as you pick up the golden goblet from the pedestal in front of you, the dungeon starts to shake and crumble into the void cascade that is consuming the whole dungeon.

Belfry Bat always moves in a circular motion while off the ground. Press LEFT, RIGHT, or the TURN button to change the direction of his flight in midair.

Hitting walls causes him to fall. Ringing bells causes him to fall. Hitting spikes causes him to regenerate at the last checkpoint.

Turn Speed: Enables the ability to change your turn speed using UP and DOWN. OFF by default. This was going to be a key feature, but it was found to encourage bad technique in players unfamiliar with the core mechanic.

Both Directions: Allows use of both LEFT and RIGHT to switch direction in midair. ON by default.

JUMP Also Turns: While off the ground, JUMP switches the player's turn direction, just like TURN. ON by default.

UP Also Jumps: While on the ground, UP also jumps, just like JUMP. OFF by default.

Invert X-Axis: Switches LEFT and RIGHT. OFF by default.

Invert Y-Axis: Switches UP and DOWN. OFF by default.

Direction Primacy: When inputting axial directions which are contradictory in a classic D-pad or analog stick input scheme, such as "UP and DOWN" or "LEFT and RIGHT", the direction which was pressed latest takes priority over older presses. ON by default. While OFF, contradictory axial direction inputs will cancel each other out and result in no input on that axis.
